International Services serves as a liaison between medical communities for the purpose of facilitating superior medical care to patients from all over the world.

Patient Referral
 Should you, as an international physician, feel that your patient is in need of our comprehensive care, International Services will make all the necessary arrangements for a smooth referral (Medical Records Review). You will be kept informed throughout the process to ensure the quality and continuity of care for your patients.
MHS provides comprehensive care in a number of specialties, supported by physicians, nurses and technicians who are the finest in their field. Physicians work together to provide coordinated care for patients whose medical needs require a multidisciplinary approach.
Services for Patients
International Services offers patients and their family members a range of services designed to ease their concerns, set the proper expectations and make their stay more comfortable. By providing language assistance, local concierge services, cost estimates and other helpful services, International Services is able to reduce anxieties associated with stays in a foreign hospital. When patients arrive they should request an International Patient Guide, a valuable reference guide on what to expect upon arrival in San Antonio. An International Specialist is available for any special needs that may arise during their stay.
Continuing Medical Education
MHS offers international physicians the opportunity to stay abreast of the latest developments in medicine, nursing and public health. International Services is your resource to find the courses that interest you. If you would like to receive a schedule of courses, please contact us and we will add your name to our mailing list.
Medical Exchange Program
International Services can assist visiting medical practitioners who wish to apply for an observership in their particular specialty. The program was developed to promote the exchange of information in the latest developments in medicine, nursing and public health. Personal accommodations for Medical Exchange visitors can be arranged. Please feel free to contact us to receive your application.
Boletin Internacional
The field of medicine is dynamic and requires a constant effort on behalof of physcians and medical professionals to remain informed of the lastest advances in health care. In an effort to keep affiliated physicians informed of leading edge treatment alternatives research and technology available at Methodist Healthcare, International Services publishes the Boletin Internacional.
